Micromax is now boarding the Android 4K TV bandwagon with two new additions which have already gone on sale in India. The new sets comprise of a 42-inch 42C0050UHD model and a 49-inch release with the SKU 50K2330UHD. They’re both on sale through Flipkart for now with prices starting at Rs 39990.
Now certainly, that amount isn’t really cheap, but it’s amongst the lowest you’ll see for a 4K TV. Both offerings from Micromax have premium designs and tag along some great features. The 42-inch 42C0050UHD model has a nearly bezel-free screen and is just 25mm thick. The screen used here is an LED panel with 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution.
The Micromax device also tags along various connectivity options including 3 HDMI pots, 3 USB sockets, Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Being a Smart TV, the company has loaded it with Android, but you’ll get the outdated 4.2 Jelly Bean version, and SRS surround sound technology. The Micromax 50K2330UHD is not only bigger, but also slightly more attractive.

It has the same LED panel and screen resolution as the smaller model. And Micromax has also incorporated the same technologies and connectivity features. The difference here is that you get Android 4.4 KitKat with preloaded games such as RipTide, TurboFly and SpeedX 3D. Both models have around 2.5GB of internal storage, 1GB RAM, a microSD card slot and a dual core processor. Both TV sets offer access to the Google Play store for downloading apps.
The Micromax 42C0050UHD is currently available at the aforementioned retail tag, while the 50K2330UHD model will set you back by Rs 49990. Both 4K TV can also be purchased on exchange at Rs 36990 and Rs 46990, respectively, through Flipkart.
