The Micromax Canvas Spark has finally been launched at a surprisingly low Rs 4999, a price that puts it at the forefront of the smartphone competition. The company has done pretty well for itself over the last couple of years and this extremely affordable new handset has raised a unique challenge. It really cannot get cheaper than this right now and everyone knows it.
The cost of the Micromax Canvas Spark could be dropped so low mainly because of the SoC it uses. A quad core MediaTek chip clocked at 1.3GHz keeps things ticking along. If you’d rather have Qualcomm Snapdragon inside, this is not the device for you. There’s 1GB of RAM to help it along and best of all is the fact that users can look forward to Android Lollipop v5.0 out of the box.
The Canvas Spark happens to be exclusive to Snapdeal and it will be up for grabs on April 29, as part of a flash sale. The phone has a decent rear camera of 8MP which also comes with flash, unlike the Moto E 2nd generation. The touchscreen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is slightly bigger too, though the resolution remains at 960 x 540p.
