The Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 has gotten launched in India, with the manufacturer looking to make a splash in the affordable laptop market segment in the country. The brand has chosen to vend the device exclusively via Amazon priced at Rs 10499.
The arrival of the new Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 comes several months after the unveiling of its predecessor back in October last year. Not much appears to have changed between the two. The former notably sports a smaller 4100mAh battery capacity, as compared to the latter’s 5000mAh one.
This reduction seems to have spilled over to the cost of the latest Micromax device, given its previous variant had retailed for Rs 13999 at the time of its debut. The new device further offers 10 hours of battery life, 1 hour lesser than the previous model.

Diving into its specs, the Canvas Lapbook L1160 outputs its visuals through an 11.6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768p. It runs on Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 OS and offers a dual speaker setup. The notebook gets its daily tasks done with the help of a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor which clocks in at 1.83GHz in Turbo Boost Mode.
