A new Micromax Canvas HD Plus Android KitKat smartphone with a hexa core chip has been outed for Rs 13500 via online retailer Infibeam even before the homegrown company came clean about it. The device is yet to receive an official unveiling in the country, just like the Canvas Beat A114R, though the latter has appeared on Micromax’s website already.
The six core processor hiding inside the Canvas HD Plus phone is its highlighted feature, of course. It’s a good thing that manufacturers are willingly jumping onto the KitKat bandwagon and not leaving buyers wondering whether they’ll have to chase them down for software updates. This Micromax phone has a 5-inch display that unfortunately does not do full HD, but sticks to 720p resolution.
Micromax Canvas HD Plus specifications list:
– 5-inch 720p HD resolution touchscreen
– Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS
– 1.5GHz hexa core processor
– 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory
– Up to 32GB microSD card support
– 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity
– Dual SIM card slots
– 8MP and 2MP cameras
– 2000mAh battery, 7 hours talk time
The smartphone’s a boring slab of plastic framed by what appears to be a gold metallic band and it comes in black as well as white color options. It has only 1GB of RAM to help it along and 8GB of onboard storage. If you think you’ll fall short of hoarding space, there’s a microSD card slot for adding up to 32GB of extra room. You can expect two SIM card slots inside and up to 3G connectivity.
