A fresh challenger is all set to enter the league of extremely affordable 3G smartphones in India in the form of the new Micromax Bolt Q335 which has just been listed on the company’s official website. We’re calling it ‘extremely affordable’ judging by its specs alone, as we don’t have any word on what its price will be.
The Micromax Bolt Q335 is for those looking for entry-level Android devices. It hence doesn’t bother to offer the latest software, settling instead for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat variant which has become quite ancient but still provides a satisfying user experience.
The dual SIM Bolt Q335 boasts of a 4.5-inch FWVGA TFT monitor. Its rear camera can click 5MP images, and is accompanied by an LED flash as well. What’s disappointing however, is that it features a fixed focus mechanism. A 2MP front facing snapper is also available on the device.
Here’s a neat look at the specs of the Micromax Bolt Q335:
– Display: 4.5-inch, FWVGA 480 x 854 pixels
– OS: Android 4.4.2 KitKat
– Memory: 512MB RAM, 4GB storage (expandable up to 32GB)
– Processor: 1.2GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC7731
– Cameras: 5MP FF rear with LED flash, 2MP FF front
– Battery: 1650mAh
This Micromax handset comes fitted with a 1.2GHz quad core processor sitting atop a Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset. This setup is accompanied by 512MB worth of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage. There’s a 1650mAh battery present on it as well, offering up to 6 hours of talktime to its users.
We expect the Micromax Bolt Q335 to be made official in the coming days, and that’s when we’ll be able to give you its pricing details; so stay tuned until then.
