The Micromax Bolt Q324 smartphone has been made available for purchase in India for a price of Rs 3990 only, but what’s interesting is that the company hasn’t officially launched the device as yet. Well, this is as good a formal unveiling as the phone is going to get and that’s mainly because it’s yet another addition to the brand’s super-affordable lineup.
The Micromax Bolt Q324 is a basic option in a market that’s already crowded with these and it flaunts pretty average looks. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor, making it a good pick for what you’ll be paying. But while the display size of 4 inches with WVGA resolution is nice, the screen is a TN panel which means that the viewing angles will not be all that great.
And like almost every other affordable Micromax smartphone, this one also comes with Android 4.4 KitKat preloaded. Dual SIM support is of course onboard and there’s 3G connectivity as well. For memory, a mere 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage have been provided. Up to 32GB of extra hoarding space can be added via the microSD card slot.
Despite its low retail tag, the Bolt Q324 still manages to squeeze in dual cameras where a 2MP snapper can be found on the rear and a VGA lens is placed on the front. Lastly, the included 1450mAh battery is capable of up to 7 hours of talk time or around 279 hours of standby.
