Meizu M1 Note phablet will be available from May 20 onwards

After months of preparations, the Meizu M1 Note has finally been officially revealed in India and it will be made available for purchase in a couple of days. The phablet is direct competition to the Redmi Note 4G and the Mi 4i from Xiaomi, but there’s no word about its price as yet.

The Meizu M1 Note is selling for around CNY999 in China which translates to under Rs 10000. We expect to see a similar retail tag for the device in India. Unlike other Chinese OEMs which have implemented the flash sale approach, this company is sticking to traditional open sales.

Meizu has partnered with Amazon to offer its phablet exclusively in the country, but we’re likely to see the device be available through other means as well. The exclusively collaboration could just be to test the waters on whether it’d be feasible to expand considering that this will be the first device from the company.

The M1 Note is a pretty attractive phone which may or may not resemble the iPhone 5C, depending on who you ask. The handset is unique in a way as it only offers a home button while other navigation keys have been eliminated. The OS which is called Flyme 4 and based on Android is customized to work without a back key. Additionally, you get a modified UX which looks a lot like Xiaomi’s MIUI.
