At an event held today in Mumbai, Maxx Mobile declared their new series of mobile phones called ‘Khamoshhh’ which comprises a bar phone named Maxx MX401 and a QWERTY handset called Maxx MQ601. The range has been entitled keeping in mind the noise suppression technology that these phones are integrated with.

Both phones have been built with an advanced technology called SAM which eliminates background noise and offers users total voice clarity. This technology uses a technique of signal processing for curtailing surroundings noises and also helps in eliminating echoes. The phones are embedded with a special key to facilitate the Noise Suppression feature.

The Maxx MX401 bar phone runs on a 1500mAh battery and is available in blue and yellow colors. The dual-SIM device features a 2MP camera, a 2.4-inch TFT screen and the Opera Mini Browser which allows users to browse on the move. It is capable of supporting MP3/WAV/AAC audio formats and 3GPP/AVI/MP4 video player formats. Furthermore, the phone offers a talk time and standby time of up to 5.5 and 450 hours respectively.

The Maxx MQ601 with a QWERTY keypad is embedded with a 2MP camera and is powered by a 1000mAh battery. Available in grey and black colors, this phone possesses a 2.3-inch TFT screen and the dual-SIM functionality. This JAVA enabled handset also has the same audio and video supporting capacities as its counterpart bar phone does. It’s equipped with a talk time of up to 4.5 hours and a standby time of up to 350 hours.

The Maxx MX401 and the Maxx MQ601 phones from the ‘Khamoshhh’ series come with price tags of Rs. 2,833 and Rs. 2,970 respectively. They will soon be available at major retail stores across India. Maxx retail stores where these phones will be available include Planet M, Tata Croma, Hyper City, Star Bazar, Mobile & Gadgets, Indian Naval Canteen, Kings Electronics, Hotspot, Reliance Web World and NEXT electronics.
