For all those who enjoyed Samurai II: Vengeance by Madfinger Games, there’s more gaming action to be expected from these quarters. Just recently, the company proclaimed the onset of a new title Shadowgun which will drop in with advanced graphics and more engaging gameplay.

The title promises to develop a new visual standard for handheld gaming by the combined effect of tactical combat and third person action. Players have to step into the shoes of John Slade, who is a professional bounty hunter living in the year 2350. The hunting session begins with the aim being to kill Dr. Edgar Simon, a well known geneticist and ex-employee of the trans-galactic corporation, Toltech Enterprises.

“Shadowgun is possibly the best expression of quality production achievable on mobile devices and a great indicator of what consumers can expect from future mobile games. We’re very proud to see this kind of creative product created with Unity and excited to offer it to our partners through our Union distribution service,” commented Brett Seyler, General Manager of Union.

“Shadowgun shows off the console-quality experience that Tegra is bringing to Android devices. We’re especially excited that Madfinger is creating a special version of Shadowgun that’s optimized for multi-core processors and will take advantage of the processing and graphics power of Project Kal-El,” remarked Ashu Rege, Vice President of Game Content and Technology at Nvidia.

Players must guide Shadowgun John Slade as he chases and finds his way through Dr. Simon’s mountain fortress while battling an army of mutants, cyborgs, and humanoids that are genetically-programmed. Players will get familiar with the latest tools and weapons and S.A.R.A., Slade’s personal android assistant.

The game will be compatible with Android mobile devices fuelled by the Nvidia Tegra 2 chip. It will be available for downloading from Tegra Zone and Android Market. Additionally, there are plans to create an advanced version that will support Nvidia Project Kal-EI, the next-generation Tegra quad-core processor.
