LinkedIn Today Android

Back in March, this next LinkedIn feature made itself familiar with the iPhone and the website version. It turns out that just recently, LinkedIn Today was announced for the Android app too.

The product strives to be handy in the sense that it provides three social views for professional information at one place on the web. It includes news associated with users’ connections, industry peers and the wider professional group on the site.

The aforementioned will help users stay updated with real time news which is accessible from the homescreen of the app. Just a click on the article will display a short summary and enable thorough reading if needed. Sharing of articles or sending it to others across the network is possible too.

The ‘Read news by category’ section will allow access to a list of news areas followed, including the recommended news groups. A particular set can be followed and it can deliver appropriate news from the professional arena on a regular basis.

LinkedIn Today is available for Android from the Marketplace or the official site. The mobile team is in the process of making other community-requested changes to the app.
