It’s certainly been a long time coming, but we guess it’s better late than never on the subject of the LinkedIn for iPad app. Now that the company has finally got around to releasing the application, fans of the service as well as the tablet ought to be informed that multi-touch and Retina display support is on the cards.

In keeping with the heavy usage of the app by professionals through morning and evening hours, it has brought all the necessary information into one integrated view. This includes details of individuals who users will be meeting that day, trending news, activities by colleagues and more. The application goes a step further and also syncs the device’s calendar to check for meetings with people and displays their profiles too.

The syncing of calendar details that lets the app show up profiles of people attending may just go on to give users an upper hand in terms of dealing with individuals. This particular feature has also been added into the LinkedIn application for iPhone and Android. Users will see the software divided into All Updates, Profile and Inbox for easily utility.

LinkedIn for iPad is now available for download on the iTunes App Store.
