LifeVibes MixDJ software by NXP to be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress 2008

NXP LifeVibes MixDJ Not every DJ needs a whole trunk of equipment to make his mark. Not anymore at least. NXP Software is getting the party started at the Mobile World Congress 2008 with the demonstration of its LifeVibes MixDJ software.

MixDJ puts a whole new spin to mobile phones and music players. This new software creates the party atmosphere anytime, anywhere with its automatic professional DJ-style mixing and device makers can provide functionally designed models to increase the appeal of music on mobile phones and players.

This super software takes care of the changing consumer habits wherein people continually use their mobile phones as their main audio player either through built-in stereo speakers or by linking it to a separate speaker accessory. MixDJ eliminates the annoying gaps between songs and allows the playing of continues, seamless playback thus creating the perfect party atmosphere.

Just as a professional live DJ, the MixDJ produces this seamless effect by aligning the tempo and beat of the current and upcoming song and then fading between them. This software is easy to manage and once activated the entire experience is automatic. MixDJ also helps users create playlists suitable for mixing and the mixes can be saved and shared with friends.

MixDJ combines the deep know-how of NXP software in mobile multimedia, playback control and the portfolio of optimized building blocks for audio enhancements. These strengths allow NXO software to create such new softwares including MixDJ and SportsDJ that add distinctive capabilities to mobile devices.

“By enhancing listening and allowing people to always have their party music with them, our LifeVibes MixDJ strengthens the mobile phone’s position as the primary music player,” states Peter van de Berg, Marketing Director, NXP Software.

“LifeVibes MixDJ is a unique feature on portable music players and music handsets, one that NXP Software is ideally placed to bring it to the market.” he added.

SportsDJ was launched at 3GSM 2007, where live action sports demo proved to attract hordes of sport fans
