Something tells us that the upcoming LG X3 quad core smartphone is just the beginning of a year which may be filled with a number of quad core CPU-embedded handset announcements from various companies. Pocketnow has got hold of a leaked picture of this device which is speculated to debut at the Mobile World Congress that’s scheduled to be held next month.

The forthcoming LG smartphone is most likely to be powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor and like a lot of Android gadgets set to show up this year, it will run on the new generation Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The phone is reported to come integrated with a 4.7-inch 1280x 720p high resolution touchscreen display and sport a thin form factor measuring less than 9mm.

The rumored device will most probably be equipped with an 8MP rear facing primary camera and a 1.3MP front facing secondary snapper for conducting video chats. It is said to arrive integrated with 16GB of internal memory, a specification which could lean on a microSD card. According to widespread speculations, this mobile phone would be capable of lending support to Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and the latest Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options. It is supposedly an NFC-enabled offering which will be operating on a 2000mAh battery.

Since all this is only unofficial information, no details regarding the LG X3 release date and price are known yet.
