Just as announced previously, the LG Optimus 4X HD is now available in Europe. It will first be shipping to Germany, followed by regions like Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands and Italy.

The handset is expected to reach other areas like Central America, Asia, CIS and South America in the forthcoming ‘weeks and months.’ For refresher’s sake, the device operates on the Nvidia 4-Plus-1 quad core Tegra 3 processor, with the fifth layer designed for saving battery life.

What’s more, any of the cores can be closed down via the Eco-mode utility for more power efficacy. Looking quite dominant on the front panel is a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display proffering visuals in 1280 x 720p, and the 16:9 ratio rendered by the screen should provide users with quite an entertaining experience.

“The Optimus 4X HD is fast but speed alone isn’t what makes this smartphone so great. Differentiated User Experience and exclusive features LG engi-neers have developed for this device set this phone apart as much as it’s Tegra 3 brain. With Optimus 4X HD, we’ve set the bar quite high for the industry and the competition,” remarked Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics.

Just as expected, the smartphone arrives layered with the Optimus UI 3.0 that covers some interesting features including QuickMemo. There’s an 8MP snapper sitting on the flip side, while the entire show is run by the ICS OS. Other features like Fingertip Seek, Live Zooming and Media Plex are part of the deal too.

The LG Optimus 4X HD is now up for grabs in Europe. Its price details have not received a clear mention at present.
