The LG G5 has officially been launched in India after a lengthy pre-order period, with the handset now hitting offline stores and Flipkart. The handset can now be snapped up at Rs 52900 and will have to battle against flagship foes like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and HTC 10.

The latter is also priced at Rs 52990. While the free Cam Plus pre-order offer is now over, the brand is hoping to attract buyers with new goodies. Early birds are set to receive a free battery and charging cradle worth Rs 3499 on buying the LG G5. The freebies will be shipped separately between 10 to 15 June and get delivered within 21 working days.

Flipkart is also offering a massive exchange offer worth up to Rs 15000 which would effectively reduce the price of the smartphone down to Rs 37989. The headline-grabbing feature of the new G5 is its modularity, allowing users to customize it to their hearts desire with the help of accessories dubbed LG Friends. For instance, its battery can be swapped out easily and replaced with a Cam Plus to shoot photos like a digital camera.
