If you’re a sucker for uniquely built smartphones, the LG Fx0 is something you definitely will drool over since it comes equipped with a transparent body. This Firefox OS 2.0 handset has so far been announced only for Japan, and is being released in the said country by the carrier we all know as KDDI.
December 25 is when patrons from Japan will be able to lay their hands on this unique gadget. The LG Fx0 has been designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, keeping in mind Mozilla’s philosophy that lays emphasis on openness, freedom and transparency, and it’s to further highlight these factors that he has chosen to go with a see-through body for the device.
The Fx0 also happens to be the first high-end smartphone to run Firefox OS 2.0, as all the previous models have been entry-level offerings meant for developing markets. Version 2.0 of the software brings with it a host of new features that include support for NFC, 4G LTE, WebRTC and more.
It comes equipped with a 4.7-inch display of unknown resolution, but we’re guessing it’s a 720p HD panel since the phone’s other specs match with those of the previously leaked LG L25. This device’s operations are handled by a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor. There’s a 1.5GB RAM module present inside it, apart from a 2370mAh battery sporting the Firefox OS logo. There’s 16GB of internal storage aboard as well, aside from a microSD card slot.
A look at the specs of the LG Fx0:
