LG L65 dual-SIM is a 4.3″ budget phone with Android KitKat, out in Russia

LG has taken a dual-SIM L65 with Android KitKat to Russia on the sly and has not revealed anything about its release in other parts of the world. But fear not, a single SIM version of the phone is allegedly in the pipeline too if we’re to take the hint dropped by @evleaks through a tweet.

The leak describes the handset as the LG L65 and does not add a Dual to the moniker. So we can probably assume that this is a variant carrying just one SIM card slot. This new member of the L Series III sits somewhere between the L70 and L90 smartphones.

LG L65 Dual SIM

The specs sheet of the dual SIM L65 lacks luster, though we daresay it might sound quite interesting to people looking for a mid-range device or their first smartphone. The handset runs on Android KitKat and a 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm and is powered by a 2100mAh battery.

It works with 1GB of RAM and features 4GB of onboard storage which can be expanded by sliding in a 32GB or smaller capacity microSD card. In today’s day and age, you’d call the L65 a mini phone owing to its 4.3-inch touchscreen, though it’s actually just decently proportioned to fit into your hand.

LG dual-SIM L65 specifications at a glance:

– 4.3-inch WVGA IPS touchscreen
– Android 4.4 KitKat OS
– 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon 200 processor
– 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal memory
– Support for 32GB microSD cards
– 5MP and 0.3MP cameras
– 66.8mm x 127.2mm x 9.6mm dimensions
– 126g weight
– 2100mAh battery

The LG L65 Dual is priced at 7,490 rubles, which is over Rs 12000 or around $210. We don’t know when or whether it will be launched in markets outside Russia.
