LG 4K OLED TV arrives in India starting at Rs 384900

The LG 4K OLED TV has been released for the Indian market, with the 65-inch model costing Rs 579900 and a 55-inch one priced at Rs 384900. Both will be available through select LG retail outlets starting from August 25.

The company says the combination of the two technologies is a first for the flat panel display division. The LG 4K OLED TV boasts of having 33 million color sub-pixels and self-lighting pixels. Each light-producing pixel is intended to be independently controlled so when they come in contact with electrical signals, it leads to a 1000 times faster response speed than regular LED TVs.

They also control their own luminescence by switching on and off. This results in an infinite contrast ratio with bright whites and deep blacks being displayed on the screen, along with blur-free videos. The LG television also has a four-color technology called WRGB. It adds an extra white sub-pixel in addition to the normal red, green and blue.
