Letv is getting ready to announce its smartphones in India at an event in New Delhi on January 5. The company has sent out media invites for the occasion, but there’s no mention of which of the brand’s products are making its way to the nation.
To recall, China-based Letv had declared it was landing in India by early 2016 back in October this year. It’s planning to release its handsets and entertainment platform, the Eco User content-device ecosystem, here. It’s launched 4 devices in its home base so far namely the Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le 1s and Le Max.
According to Fone Arena, Letv has already held a preview event at Bengaluru where it had showcased the Le Max. The manufacturer plans to launch the phone by the middle of January 2016. It’s also set to announce other smartphones along with it, though it did not confirm which.

Flipkart Director Sandeep Karwa recently took to his Twitter account to post that LeTV was arriving in India next month. Based on this, it’s possible the brand has teamed up with the e-commerce website to exclusively vend its offerings. As for how much the Le Max will cost, the smartphone’s starting price is CNY 2999 (about Rs 30500) in China.
