Lenovo Z2 Plus launching in India on September 22

Lenovo India has confirmed that it is going to launch the Z2 Plus in an event in New Delhi on September 22. Globally available as the Zuk Z2, the phone was unveiled in China in May. It will be sold exclusively on Amazon India. The company has uploaded several teasers about the handset on its Twitter handle.

Users may wonder why the name of the phone has changed for India. Zuk is a sub-brand of Lenovo for China. The local version will sport branding from the parent company and not its subsidiary, which is why it has been given a new name altogether despite having the same features.

Another India-specific characteristic on the Z2 Plus are the gesture shortcuts accessible through the fingerprint scanner. The dual SIM device has support for 4G network connectivity. It is juiced by a 3500mAh battery with fast charging.
