Unveiled at the ongoing MWC event were the new Lenovo A7000 and Vibe Shot smartphones which fall in two very different categories. While the former is a mid ranger looking to impress with the fact that it’s the first phone in the world to offer Dolby Atmos sound, the latter is a high-end camera phone bearing a 16MP sensor.
The Lenovo A7000 expands the screen size of its predecessor by offering a 5.5-inch display that still bears a 720p HD resolution. Like we said, this 4G LTE handset features the Dolby Atmos technology, which not only means more vivid, clear, rich and deep sound, but also consistency in volume across all types of content.
This phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6752m octa core processor which is supported by 2GB worth of RAM. There’s an 8MP camera onboard the device as well, apart from a 5MP front snapper. Additionally, Lenovo has pushed inside it a 2900mAh battery for long hours of usage.
Coming to the stylish Vibe Shot camera phone, this new offering kicks in a 5-inch 1080p full HD display. It has been designed to click images and shoot videos in landscape mode, an evidence of which is given by its logo placement. There’s a dedicated shutter control button on its side surface as well.
Here’s a quick glance at the specs of the Lenovo Vibe Shot:
– Display: 5-inch, 1080p full HD
– OS: Android 5.0 Lollipop
– Processor: 1.5GHz octa core Snapdragon 615
– Memory: 3GB RAM, 32GB storage (expandable up to 128GB)
– Camera: 16MP rear, 8MP front
– Battery: 2900mAh
This Lenovo smartphone plays home to a 16MP sensor that’s accompanied by a six-piece modular lens, optical image stabilization, infrared focus, low-light back illumination and a tri-color LED flash. For selfies and video calling, its front face holds on it an 8MP camera.
While the Lenovo A7000 will be launched this month at $170, the Vibe Shot will be made available this June at $349.
