The Lenovo S860 is the latest smartphone belonging to the S series from the company and falls in the mid-range category in the Indian mobile segment. Lenovo has already made it available for pre-order in the subcontinent and it is likely to knock on the doors of interested users from May 1 onwards.
The entire front panel of the Lenovo S860 is taken over by a 5.3-inch IPS touchscreen of 1280 x 720p touchscreen and it has a 1.6MP fixed focus camera for company. This not only lets you take selfies, but also allows you to make video calls over the internet. And on flipping over the phone, you will see an 8MP auto focus snapper complete with common attributes like flash, video recording, digital zoom and more.
Android Jelly Bean 4.2 has been chosen to look after the phone’s interface and the company is likely to release the KitKat 4.4 update for it in the future. Its multitasking properties can be attributed to a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek MTK 6582 processor and 2GB of RAM. Also it can cough up the juice for talk time of about 24 hours in 3G and close to 43 hours in the 2G mode, thanks to a 4000mAh battery.
The Lenovo S860 has been priced at Rs 21,499 and it can now be pre-ordered via the Do Store in India.
