The Lenovo S850 Android smartphone has been officially launched in India with decent specs and Google’s latest OS onboard for an affordable price of Rs 15499. The handset is a slim and lightweight addition to the company’s lineup and it’s already up for pre-order online.
The Lenovo S850 was launched globally back in February along with the S860 and S660 smartphones. The device is a mid-range one where it offers an HD display spanning 5 inches wide and dual cameras, 5MP front and 13MP rear.
The presser issued by Lenovo states that the phone has Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, but the product page online highlights that the phone will ship with version 4.2 Jelly Bean instead. Either there’s an error in one of the sources or an update to the newer OS version could be available at release.
It’s not every day that we see an affordable handset offer an attractive design and Lenovo’s latest addition for India is an exception. The handset’s key features are in its looks where the 8.2mm form factor has glass coatings on the front and rear. Apart from this, the company’s logo on the rear lights up when a notification is received.
