Lenovo Phab Plus with huge 6.8-inch screen launched in China

The Lenovo Phab Plus has been unveiled by the company in China for CNY 2599, which converts to roughly Rs 27000. There’s no official announcement yet as to whether it will receive an international release.

The standout feature of the Lenovo Phab Plus is its 6.8-inch full HD display with a pixel density of 326ppi. At that size, the phone is just a few inches short of being considered a full-fledged tablet. The Huawei Ascend P8max is one of the few other handsets to possess such a huge screen and will probably be among its main competitors.

Moving on to its other specs, the dual-SIM Phab Plus runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with a layer of Vibe UI. Under the hood, it’s powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor combined with an Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The handset contains a 3500mAh battery which can supposedly last up to 24 hours of talk time and 350 hours of standby time.

According to tech blog Gadgetblaze, the 4G-ready device carries a 13MP camera with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper. It houses 32GB of expandable storage and its speakers are equipped with Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and A-GPS. The Lenovo smartphone measures 186.6 x 96.6 x 7.6mm and weighs 220g.
