Lenovo K4 Note coming to India on Jan 5

The Lenovo K4 Note is all set to arrive in India on January 5 at an event in New Delhi. The company has issued a media invite for the occasion. While the name of the phone has not been mentioned, the invitation comes with the tag ‘Killer Note 2016’.

Very little information about the price and specs of the Lenovo K4 Note has been revealed by the brand as of now. The only confirmed feature is its 3GB of RAM, which the manufacturer announced through a competition conducted via its Indian Twitter handle. The previous version of the handset packed 2GB of RAM.

Based on the teaser image, the K4 Note looks like it will sport a metal body and come with the standard microUSB 2.0 port, volume buttons and camera unit. Earlier speculations had suggested the smartphone will contain 32GB of inbuilt storage, another significant upgrade over its predecessor’s 16GB.

The Lenovo device may also be blessed with a fingerprint scanner. The upcoming model will have a lot to live up to, given how successful the K3 Note was in India. The older unit sold out stock within seconds of its flash sales and even found a spot among the most searched-for handsets in the country in 2015, with Google ranking the phone third in its year-end list.

The manufacturer further plans to bring its production capacity to 10 million units in 2016, nearly double the 6 million it currently boasts of at its Chennai factory.
