LeEco Le 2, Le Max 2 sell 61000 units worth Rs 78 crore in first flash sale

The LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2 have managed to garner over Rs 78.6 crore through its first flash sale. Approximately 61000 units of the handsets have gotten sold in a day, which the brand says is an industry record.

The LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2 have racked up these numbers across the brand’s new e-commerce platform LeMall and Flipkart. The company asserts that the two had received nearly 6 lakh registrations within 8 days, an impressive feat.

LeEco Le 2

Atul Jain, LeEco’s India COO, told PTI that about 82% of the people who registered opted for the Le 2, while the rest went for the Le Max 2. This makes sense given the former’s Rs 11999 price tag and the latter’s Rs 22999 one. The Indian smartphone marketplace mostly caters to people who seek affordable phones which offer decent specs at a budget cost.

Jain went on to say that the success of the LeEco handsets in India was due to a combination of a free 1-year LeEco Membership worth Rs 4900 a year, affordability, features, and Continuous Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) technology. The last is a unique aspect of the phones, since neither offer the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
