Boasting of possessing the largest battery yet on a BlackBerry smartphone, the Z30 has made its way out in the open, even as its maker has revealed all the important hardware and software details regarding this advanced flagship smartphone. It has been blessed with a 5-inch display, and it kicks in a new 10.2 version of the BB 10 OS. No mention of a price tag has been made as yet, but it has indeed been revealed that the device will be made available soon only in a 16GB option during.

The 5-inch Super AMOLED display which has been embraced by the Z30 presents its visuals with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. Its pixel density of 295ppi however, is lower than that of the Z10’s 356ppi. Inside the handset lies a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor which works with a 2GB RAM and an Adreno 320 GPU to deliver fast performance. The Z30’s highpoint is its non-removable 2,880mAh battery which is claimed to possess the ability to keep the device going for 25 hours with mixed use.

With respect to connectivity, the BlackBerry Z30 tags along 4G LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 as well as NFC. It features an 8MP rear snapper which is accompanied by an f2.2 lens capable of capturing videos in 1080p resolution. Moreover, there’s a 2MP front facing camera on board as well, delivering 720p videos. This setup is mostly similar to that of the earlier flagship, the Z10. As for the BB 10.2 OS, it brings with it improvements like the BB Priority Hub, a message preview trait and more.

The BlackBerry Z30 will be hitting select carriers and retailers around the world beginning next week. For the Z10, the Q10 and the Q5, BB 10.2 will be made available in October.
