With ‘Intel Inside’ tagged along by a lot of devices, it will soon be a welcome sight in the Lava Xolo X900 smartphone. Claiming to be the first handset featuring the Intel Atom processor Z2460, it is all set to enter India on April 19.

As seen in the company’s official invite, the event is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on the aforementioned date. The invite further highlights the fact that its computer intelligence is indeed out to deliver a smartphone experience.

In terms of the handset’s major specifications, it carries a 4.03-inch HD LCD touchscreen to offer visual clarity. Like we’ve already stated, it runs on a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 CPU that supports Intel Hyper-Threading technology. It lends support to HSPA+ connectivity with the Intel XMM 6260 platform as well.

Options like 3G and 2G are readily supported by the phone in question. It entails an 8MP snapper that can apparently take 10 images in less than a second owing to the burst mode offered by it. Additionally, the device accommodates HD video playback, NFC and HDMI. This entrant was originally showcased at the MWC 2012 and is now set to officially enter India.

The handset was expected to be available in the second quarter of the year and it’s finally heading towards an official launch in the country, as promised. The Lava Xolo X900 price and availability details will be disclosed only after release.
