Lava Iris Pro 30 HD quad core phone launched for Rs 15,999

The Lava Iris Pro 30 has been released in India and the company has tagged its price at Rs 15,999, but we are not very impressed with the result. The device has been making headlines for quite a while now and we were expecting a rather high-end gadget to follow up on all the hype that was created for it, but it fails to deliver what we hoped for.

Nevertheless, it is still a decently spec’d mid-range phone and carries all the sought-after features. Lava highlights the fact that the handset is pretty slim as well as light considering that it measures 7.5mm in thickness and tips the scales at 114 grams. It has dual SIM card slots and while one of them supports a normal SIM, the other one can host a micro-sized one.

And what’s more, the 4.7-inch Lava smartphone boasts of quad band support, making it compatible with networks in America, Asia as well as Europe. It tags along features like voice and face unlock, PIP Multitask, flip to mute and lift to answer amongst others. The handset powered by a quad core processor keeps scrapes and scratches at bay with the help of Corning Gorilla Glass and coughs up 2G talk time of about 7.5 hours.
