The Lava Iris range of smartphones has been updated with a new member that goes by the name of 456 and has already been put up for sale via Flipkart in India. It seems like a tough competitor for the Micromax Canvas Juice which was released yesterday. Both devices fall in the same price category.
From the Lava Iris 456, you can expect a 4.5-inch touchscreen that graces the front panel and has been deployed with the IPS technology for a wider viewing angle. It can deliver visuals in 480 x 854p resolution. Like most of the other devices belonging to this lineup, the handset in question makes the most of the Android OS, Jelly Bean 4.2 to be precise.
The phone’s rear side is fitted with a 5MP camera complete with attributes like flash, auto focus, video recording and more, while the front has a snapper with a 1.3MP lens. It contains merely 4GB of onboard memory which is likely to prove insufficient and hence the device has been embedded with a microSD card slot for increasing it further by up to 32GB.
Further, the Google-certified device has dual SIM card slots and tags along 512MB of RAM. A dual core processor that sprints at a speed of 1.2GHz can also be found hidden within the confines of the gadget. It has dimensions of 66 x 134 x 10.45 millimeters and tips the scales at 147 grams. A 1650mAh battery has also been thrown into the mix.
The Lava Iris 456 is listed on Flipkart for Rs 7,018, but it is currently out of stock.
