New Lava Iris 444 released in India at Rs 3199, NKS 101 tablet gets listed

The Lava Iris 444 smartphone can now be purchased online at a price of Rs 3199 and the 10.1-inch Lava NKS 101 is expected to be launched soon. The budget-friendly dual SIM handset has a 4-inch screen and runs on the KitKat OS, while the tablet is stuck in the past with its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.

The Lava Iris 444 has a 1GHz Cortex A7 processor and a 800 x 480p touchscreen display. The smartphone makes do with merely 256MB RAM, and 512MB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB. The NKS 101 whose details are available on the company’s website, features a 1280 x 800p resolution touchscreen. The tablet embeds a 1.6GHz dual core processor and 1GB RAM, and offers options of 16GB or 32GB built-in memory.

The Iris 444 possesses a 2MP rear camera with LED flash support and a 0.3MP front snapper. This Lava smartphone delivers 2G connectivity along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth support, and is powered by a 1400mAh battery. The NKS 101 which seems to be variant of the Xtron Mega hides a 7200mAh battery and 2MP rear as well as front cameras. The tablet renders video playback at up to 1080 x 720p HD. It also includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and HDMI compatibility.
