The Lava Iris 351 is now available online carrying a price tag of Rs. 3,899. This dual SIM smartphone goes easy on the pocket and comes with a list of rich features.
The 3.5-inch TFT display of the handset has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. In its endeavor to introduce a low-budget mobile, the maker seems to have compromised on the quality of the camera, enclosing just a 2MP lens. The snapper comes with fixed-focus and is the sole component for capturing pictures and videos. The mobile comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio which gives listeners the option of recording segments as well. The phone is also equipped with light, gravity and proximity sensors.
This Android 2.3.5 phone runs on a single core 1GHz processor and is backed by 256MB of RAM. In terms of memory, the device disappoints possessing only 512MB of storage, out of which just 110MB will be made available for users. However, the manufacturer tries to make up for it by providing a microSD slot that can extend the space up to 16GB. The 1300mAh battery capacity allows a decent talktime of roughly 3.5 hours or a standby time of around 220 hours.
Although, the device provides connectivity through Wireless LAN, GPRS and Bluetooth, it does not support 3G. It comes with preloaded apps such as Lava Zone, Ninja Rush, Fusion and Agneepath. When compared to the N320, the phone in question doesn’t really have anything new to offer. With pretty much the same specifications, the previous version is just a little thicker in depth. It comes with a 1400mAh battery and can in fact now be bought for just Rs. 3,399 on Flipkart.
The Iris 351 has been put up on sale on various websites and can be procured at subsidized rates from Flipkart, Snapdeal, Saholic, Infibeam and eBay. To entice buyers, Lava will be enclosing a free 4GB memory card along with the handset.
