Lava E-Tab Ivory offers dual SIM 3G voice calling for Rs 10,199

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 and 3 series are being hit hard by various local manufacturers and Lava has just introduced another addition to its 7-inch voice calling arsenal, the E-Tab Ivory. The latest contender comes with dual SIM slots and support for 3G networks, albeit there’s no word if both ports are WCDMA compatible.

The Lava E-Tab Ivory is being touted as the successor to the Connect series which also boast of voice calling capabilities. The tablet is said to be designed for gaming and media. It features a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen which delivers visuals in 1024 x 600p resolution. What’s disappointing is that the company has decided to load it with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is rather out dated now.

To top it off, while most manufacturers have adopted the Cortex A7 chipset for their budget-friendly tablets, Lava has deployed the E-Tab Ivory with a 1.2GHz dual core MediaTek processor clubbed together with Power VR SGX531 graphics operating at 500MHz. There are various applications preloaded here. They include Total Recall HD, NFS HD, Hungama, OLX, Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp.

The exterior features a silver metallic finish with a white bezel. The tablet has dimensions of 194mm x 120.5mm x 10.8mm. You get dual cameras, a 0.3MP snapper on the front and a 2MP lens on the rear. Other features of the device include 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 3000mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
