Largest working cellphone unveiled via Cricket and Samsung

Samsung Messager phone,Cricket and Samsung logo Cricket and Samsung show off their world’s largest working mobile phone in Chicago. It is the replica of the Samsung Messager phone and will allow users to make free phone calls and send free text messages as well.

The record breaking cellphone is approximately 15 feet long, 13 feet high and 3 feet deep. The phone will be certified by a Guinness World Records representative at the event.

“The QWERTY keyboard on the Samsung Messager(TM) makes text messaging easy and it is the perfect device to use as the world’s largest working cell phone,” added Bobby Billman, vice president of marketing for Samsung Telecommunications America. “Samsung Mobile is excited to be a part of this record breaking event, and give Chicagoans the chance to see Samsung’s latest products.”

Here’s a walk down memory lane for some of the features the Samsung Messager phone. It features a slide out QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3 megapixel digital camera and a MP3 player for entertainment. Users can also download a wide range of applications and games. The phone is available in two colors namely green and navy blue and supports Bluetooth as well.

With an entry in Guinness World Records, Samsung takes a revolutionary step in the mobile phone market and this may let the mobile phone maker achieve a prestigious place amongst its competitors.

People in Chicago can visit Pioneer Court and make free phone calls and send free messages till March 15.
