Kindle for iPhone app now available

Kindle for iPhone App Bookworms can now access an array of books with the latest Kindle for iPhone app. Interestingly, Kindle users can now read a few pages on their Kindle and then continue reading via their iPhone.

The Kindle for iPhone App features Amazon’s Whispersync technology that saves and synchronizes customers’ bookmarks across their Kindle devices as well as Kindle cross-platform applications like Kindle for iPhone and iPod Touch, and Kindle for PC. With this app, iPhone users can purchase, download and read a plethora of books available in the Kindle Store.

“We are excited to make the Kindle for iPhone App available to iPhone and iPod touch users in more than 60 countries, allowing them to access the vast selection of the most popular books, all available wirelessly from the Kindle Store. The Kindle for iPhone App is the perfect companion for customers who own a Kindle or Kindle DX, and a great way for customers around the world to download and read books even if they don’t yet have a Kindle,” mentioned Ian Freed, vice president, Amazon Kindle.

Users can access a variety of books including children’s books, cookbooks, travel books, textbooks and graphic novels. They can also add and view notes and highlights marked on Kindle and Kindle DX. For enhanced reading experience, users can choose from six different font sizes. Further, users are allowed to read the beginning of books for free before they buy.

The Kindle for iPhone app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store.
