We reported on the new iPhone AR app dubbed the Metro Paris Subway not too long ago. Another AR app called junaio Glue is now out for iPhone and devices running the Android OS. Users can just point and shoot through their devices in order to locate pubs, train stations or even get directions to various places.

This app provides a complete social experience as it enables users to insert graphics and 3D objects to their locations. It can be used indoors as well as outdoors. When outdoors, the app uses GPS data and the device’s compass to identify the user’s location. Though GPS is not easily accessible inside buildings, this application breaks this inconvenient barrier as it uses LLA Markers to let patrons experience AR overlays within museums, exhibitions and shopping malls among other places.

junaio’s open API allows developers to easily incorporate new content onto the platform. Additionally, developers can also create AR applications like complex, multiplayer game ideas and mashups using 3D models to mark their points of interest. With this app, the handset’s camera eye spots objects and glues object specific real-time, active, social and 3D information directly onto the object.

junaio Glue is available for download through the App Store as well as the Android Market.
