Fans of Highborn, who enjoy playing the turn-based strategy game for all it offers and have waited agog for its updated version, are in for a treat. Jet Set Games announced that Highborn Chapter 2 the update to Highborn is now up for grabs as an in-app purchase for the iPhone and iPod Touch along with the iPad. It features eight new missions, humorous off-the-wall stories, dialogues, and copious exciting new features.

Highborn Chapter 2 includes many new allies and gruesome enemies, teleporters and interesting new structures to up its wow quotient. Now users can unravel the answers to many grappling questions which remained unanswered in Chapter 1 such as where does Enzo’s loyalty really lie and how wild was the afterparty? More questions like, is it actually possible to train a dragon or where did Arch-Lich Floyd disappears etc get answered too.

“Our fans have been asking for more Highborn escapades ever since we released the original game,” commented Rade Stojsavljevic, president of Jet Set Games. “We know we’ve kept people waiting a while, but we believe the time we’ve taken has been worth it to deliver an incredibly robust package of downloadable content for our players. Not only does Chapter 2 add a bunch of new missions, but it’s packed with new features as well. It’s practically a full game by itself.”

To make Chapter 2 huger than its predecessor its creators have added features like improvised 3D models and artworks. Users can also view an end-of-mission statistic screen with information on enemies killed, number of structures captured and lost, turns taken and so on. While playing each unit now discloses its attack range during movement and monoliths display the spells they control. While playing in the single-player campaign mode, users can undo their previous turn by simply shaking the handset. The cool-down timer which is an interesting feature of the game can be viewed.

This update is available for the iPhone and iPod Touch at $0.99 and for iPad at $1.99.
