Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft’s AAA offering originally meant for consoles and PC, can now be played on the iPhone or the iPad. The developer had promised this mobile version during the iPhone 15 series launch last year and has finally delivered on it by listing the game on the App Store.

Along with it, Ubisoft has also released Rabbids: Legends of the Multiverse on the App Store and made it part of the Apple Arcade subscription. Assassin’s Creed Mirage, on the other hand, will be a full purchase at 44.99 USD. However, its intro level can indeed be experienced free of cost.

Unsurprisingly, not all iPhones and iPads are eligible to let you play the game. Only the Pro models of the iPhone 15 can run it and as for the iPad, only those equipped with M1 chips or later offer compatibility.

On the App Store, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be a universal purchase, which means once purchased, it will be playable on all compatible Apple devices. And thanks to Ubisoft Connect, game progress will be easily transferable across platforms.

The game was first launched in October last year for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Its debut on the iPhone and iPad makes it the first console game to ever land on a mobile platform in its entirety.

This is all thanks to the advanced nature of Apple’s homegrown silicons. The iPhone 15 Pro range runs the A17 Pro chip, which is capable of delivering Apple’s best graphics performance so far. And there’s no question about the power output of the company’s M series chips that are found in newer iPads.

Unfortunately, Assassin’s Creed Mirage isn’t compatible with Mac machines but Ubisoft has announced that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is indeed coming to the platform later this year.
