There’s news going around that Flipkart is selling the iPhone 6 for as low as Rs 9990 on exchange. You know the saying – if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t. Sure enough, you can only buy the handset at the ridiculously low cost mentioned above if you’re willing to trade in another Apple smartphone.
And that too, not just any Apple device, but the iPhone 6S Plus. In other words, you can pay Rs 9990 and downgrade from the 2015 iOS handset to 2014’s iPhone 6. Of course, if you just want a shiny new smartphone and don’t wish to spend a lot on it, trading in a used 6S Plus for a Rs 22000 rate cut might not be the worst idea.
The 16GB iPhone 6 is going for Rs 31990 on Flipkart right now after a limited time reduction of Rs 5000 on it. The product page says you can further get an extra 5% discount on purchase via an Axis Bank Buzz credit card, and up to Rs 22000 off on exchange. Apart from Apple, devices from a number of brands including Samsung, Xiaomi and LG are being accepted.
Launched in September 2014, the iPhone 6’s specifications include a 4.7-inch Retina display, 1GB of RAM, an A8 processor, an 8MP main camera, a 1.2MP front snapper and an 1810mAh battery. It is available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB configurations. Although Flipkart has the 64GB phone too, it is only selling the 16GB capacity with the flat discount of Rs 5000 and exchange option.
