Probably perceived by many as the hottest smartphone in town, the freshly unveiled iPhone 4S, is now available through Best Buy though it can only be ordered in-store. Launched last week, the Apple device can be booked via pre-order till October 13 and will start shipping from the next day.
Equipped with a dual-core A5 chip processor, this smartphone reportedly delivers enhanced speeds for web browsing, switching between apps and gaming. It comes with an 8MP camera featuring a custom lens, larger aperture, advanced hybrid infrared filter and optics along with increased sensitivity and a face detection feature. Users are enabled to capture videos in 1080p HD resolutions.
Powered by iOS 5, the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled handset possesses a 3.5-inch widescreen multi-touch Retina display and a front facing FaceTime camera. It provides a talk and standby time of up to 14 hours and 200 hours on 2G networks, respectively. The highlight of this device is the Siri functionality that lets users send messages, fix meetings, make phone calls and conduct other such activities by directly talking to the smartphone.
The iPhone 4S can now be pre-ordered by walking into a Best Buy store. It is available in black as well as white. The handset comes in three capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB which are priced at $199, $299 and $399, respectively. Each of them is accompanied by a two year contract and arrive on Sprint, AT&T or Verizon Wireless carrier networks.
