Intex Aqua N2 to compete with entry-level Android phones in India

The Intex Aqua N2 has been released in India and although its price has been listed as Rs 7,900 on the official website, it will be made available for Rs 6,990. For this extremely affordable amount, you can expect a 4-inch touchscreen, dual cameras and the Jelly Bean platform amongst a number of other things.

The aforementioned capacitive TFT display can render visuals in 800 x 480p resolution and sits on the front surface of the Intex gadget’s exterior casing that has dimensions of 124 x 62.7 x 9 millimeters. Drenched in shades of black and white, it tips the scales at around 121.6 grams. And thanks to the Android 4.2.2 OS, there’s access to the Google Play store and various Google mobile services have been pre-loaded as well.

You can keep your personal and professional lives separate by inserting two SIM cards in the device’s dual bays. Another slot has been provided for a microSD card of not more than 32GB capacity as its 4GB ROM may prove to be insufficient. A 5MP camera has been fitted on the rear panel, while a 1.3MP snapper graces the front side and facilitates web conferencing.

The key highlight of the device is the presence of a dual core 1.2GHz MTK6572 processor which brings 512MB RAM for company. Moreover, it offers 3G compatibility and employs a 1400mAh battery that can cough up the juice for talk time of about 5 hours on a single charge.

Interested customers will have to shell out about Rs 7,000 for the Intex Aqua N2 and it should hit major retail channels in India soon.
