We’ve already reported about the Aqua HD going up for sale earlier this month and the company has now officially unveiled the smartphone in India along with the Aqua i4 phablet. The new handsets cater to the mid-range and entry-level segments, respectively, and they both are accompanied by budget-minded prices.
The Intex Aqua i4 is the cheaper model, but it’s larger than the 4.7-inch HD phone by mere millimeters. The device sports a 5-inch touchscreen proffering FWVGA resolution. We don’t have many details about the handset’s specifications and what’s known so far is that a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHZ will power up the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. Apart from these, the i4 will have dual cameras, 8MP rear and 1.3MP front, and 32GB of internal memory. There’s no word of a microSD card slot being onboard.
The i4 runs on a 2000mAh battery that can provide up to 6 hours of talktime. The Aqua HD features a 720p OGS IPS panel and it also runs on Android 4.2. This phone will receive updates via OTA delivery. Where hardware components are concerned, the device has a 1.2GHz quad core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP webcam and an 1800mAh battery. Both Intex handsets have dual SIM slots, one supporting GSM and the other WCDMA networks.
The Intex Aqua HD is available for Rs 15,900 and it’s bundled with various accessories such as a flip cover, a screen guard, 5GB of cloud storage and more, worth Rs 5,500. The i4 handset can be picked up for Rs 9,490.
