The Intex website is playing host to the Aqua 3G Neo, even though the phone is yet to get an official announcement or release date. Being listed at the price of Rs 3690 firmly puts the Aqua 3G Neo in the ultra-cheap entry-level segment of smartphones.
The handset comes with basic specs to match its low cost. The Aqua 3G Neo has a 4-inch IPS WVGA (800 x 480p) screen and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Under the hood, it’s powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum (SC7731) processor combined with 512MB of RAM.
According to Intex, the 1500mAh battery in the Aqua 3G Neo is supposed to survive up till 8 hours of talk time and a maximum of 180 hours of standby time. The handset contains a paltry 4GB of internal space which can be further expanded up to 32GB through the microSD card slot.
With only 1.52GB of the ROM set aside for the user, potential buyers will probably have to keep the cost of a microSD card in mind when purchasing the Aqua phone. The listing states that the rest of the memory of the Aqua 3G Neo is required for the operating software and applications.

The dual-SIM Intex device houses a 2MP fixed-focus main camera accompanied by LED flash and a 0.3MP front-facing lens for selfies. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.1 and A-GPS. It measures 125 x 65 x 10mm and weighs 105g.
The smartphone will be available in black, blue, white and champagne colors.
