InFocus announces 3D phone, hybrid tablet, LED TVs

InFocus is looking to expand its Indian portfolio in a big way, having announced a slew of products that include 4 smartphones, 7 LED TVs, a 2-in-1 tablet and 3 feature phone models. The US-based company will launch the 4G-enabled handsets in September and the others will arrive later in the year.

The most attention-grabbing smartphone among the four launched, is the InFocus M550-3D. Pegged at Rs 15999, this mid-range phone has a 5.5-inch full HD autostereoscopic screen that allows users to watch movies and play games in 3D without wearing special glasses. Its specs include a 3100mAh battery, a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 SoC, a 13MP main snapper, Android KitKat 4.4, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM.

Next up is the InFocus M370 which belongs to the entry-level segment. For Rs 5999, users get a 5-inch 720p display, a 1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 8GB of ROM, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera and a 2230mAh battery. The other two models launched are part of the company’s Metallic Series, with their values ranging from Rs 12999 (the M808) to Rs 19999 (the M812).

Both phones have a 1080p display and 13MP rear camera. The budget-friendly InFocus M808 has a 5.2-inch screen, Android 5.1 Lollipop, an octa-core 64-bit 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and a 2450mAh battery. The most expensive of the lot dubbed M812, has a 5.5-inch display, Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and a 2900mAh battery.

Other than the smartphones, the relatively unknown brand has also announced three feature phones, the F110 (1.77-inch), the F120 (2.4-inch) and the F135 (2.8-inch). Moving on to televisions, InFocus is selling Ultra HD TV’s in three sizes of 50, 60 and 70 inches. They support 4K resolution and virtual surround sound. The company is further launching full HD and HD-ready models in dimensions of 60, 50, 40, 32 and 24 inches.

Lastly, InFocus will release a 2-in-1 hybrid tablet. The device will sport a 10.6-inch FHD display and come with a detachable magnetic keyboard. No price or release date has been announced for the tablet or televisions currently.
