Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx and ThinkPad Twist price show up, release date announced as well

The Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx and ThinkPad Twist are two new Windows 8 devices to hit the market with their price and release date details being announced. The former is slated to be available for purchase in December along with the Yoga 11, while the latter will be put on sale on October 26.

First on the list, we have the 11.6-inch Lynx that houses an Intel Atom dual core processor and comes loaded with a host of Windows 8 applications. Users can dock the tablet onto the keyboard for quick input while creating and editing documents and presentations through Microsoft Office tools like PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Like the Yoga convertibles, this one too offers the Dolby Home Theater technology to enhance the entertainment experience. As for the battery life, the device is capable of delivering roughly 16 hours of run time on a single charge with the optional base connected.

Moving on to the ThinkPad Twist, this Ultrabook flaunts a 12.5-inch IPS touch panel that dominates the front panel. Users can configure the Lenovo device with 3rd generation Intel Core processors, while it even supports Windows 8 Pro. Adding to its enterprise-ready features is optional 3G connectivity and up to 500GB or 128GB of SDD space that caters to memory needs. The chassis is lined up with a number of ports including a miniHDMI socket and a DisplayPort jack for extended connectivity. Plus, the keyboard doubles as a stand for presentations and other needs.

ThinkPad Twist

As mentioned earlier, the Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx will be available at a cost of $599 starting December, while the keyboard will sell at $149. The ThinkPad Twist will be up for grabs at $849 and it is slated for launch on October 26. It will be up for purchase via Staples and various online retailers as well as business partners.
