All metal Huawei Honor 5X to arrive on January 28

The Huawei Honor 5X is making its way to India on January 28, with the brand sending press invites for a launch event on that date. The announcement comes just a day after it had unveiled the handset in the US at CES 2016.

The 4G-ready Huawei Honor 5X made its first appearance in China back in October. It was priced at CNY 999 (about Rs 10200) for the 2GB of RAM version and CNY 1399 (approx Rs 14300) for the 3GB of RAM model. The new handset is a significant improvement over its predecessor, which was released in March last year.

Diving into its specs, the all-metal Honor 5X flaunts a fingerprint scanner on its rear surface. It’s been equipped with the brand’s own Fingerprint 2.0 technology to unlock the device within 0.5 seconds. The phone derives its juice from a 3000mAh battery, which works with Quick Charge 3.0 to power up the smartphone from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes.

Huawei has granted the device a 13MP autofocus camera and fitted it with dual-LED dual-tone flash, 5P lens, an aperture of f/2.0, a 28mm wide-angle lens and a blue glass filter. There’s also a 5MP front-facing shooter accompanied by an aperture of f/2.4, 4P lens and a 22mm wide-angle lens.
