Huawei Honor 7 with 13MP rear camera will arrive in two versions

Huawei knows how much the ordinary consumer loves choice, which is why it is planning two variants of the Honor 7 smartphone, going by the latest rumor from its home country of China. The company is apparently thinking about launching the Huawei Honor 7 in a high end as well as a standard version. Accompanying the unconfirmed story are images of what looks like the more expensive of the two devices.

The two models of the Huawei Honor 7 are supposedly going to boast of enclosures constructed from aircraft-grade metal. They may just feature similar software and hardware specifications, but for a couple of differences. The RAM and storage capacity might be the differentiating factors between both. The release date of the top end version of the handset is said to be scheduled for July 2015.

On the other hand, a post on GSMArena notes that the regular variant of the Huawei smartphone is set for launch in June. It is most likely to hide 3GB of RAM under the hood and offer users 16GB of internal memory. The high end model is reportedly going to land with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. No mention has been made of how much storage expandability will be available in either device in the form of microSD card support.

Each variant of the Honor 7 could sport a 5-inch display with 1080p full HD resolution visuals and get its kicks from a Kirin 935 mobile processor. A 3280mAh battery may be found inside, while the OS running it will possibly be Android Lollipop 5.0 melded with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 software. As you can see from the leaked image above, a fingerprint sensor is present on the back panel below the main 13MP camera and LED flash unit.

The costlier Huawei Honor 7 is rumored to carry a price tag of CNY 1,999 (about Rs 20,500), while its cheaper cousin might sell for CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs 28,000).
