As per the latest news, the HTC One X+ and 8X might just make their official debut at the company’s event scheduled for September 19. The manufacturer is yet to confirm details on which handsets it plans to announce at the forthcoming venue.

Based on the information provided by Football4PDA via Twitter, BGR India reports that the One X+ is likely to be a beefed up variant of the One X smartphone, which is currently the flagship device of the company. The handset is said to pack in an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor with clock speeds of up to 1.6GHz, when all four cores are active. On a single active core, the CPU is capable of operating at 1.7GHz. Plus, the smartphone is anticipated to ride into town on the Jelly Bean platform tweaked with HTC Sense 4.5.

A 5-inch display dominates the front panel and renders visuals in HD. In terms of memory, the device should be incorporated with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Next in line is the 8X that’s slated to run on the Windows Phone 8 platform with features similar to other handsets from this category. It may come with a 1.2GHz dual core processor, which could be a Qualcomm Krait one.

The phone will take on a 4.3-inch touch panel on the front for viewing content in HD. An 8MP camera is rumored to be fixed to the rear with a 28mm wide angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. Users will be able to take advantage of this snapper for image capture and video recording. Like many other HTC devices, this one too tags along the Beats Audio technology. Apart from 1GB of RAM, the smartphone could provide 16GB of hoarding capacity.

For now, the HTC One X+ and 8X price details are still under wraps. If the news turns out to be true, potential buyers might just get a glimpse of the handsets on September 19.
