HTC One E9+ handset seen listed on company’s China website

The mystery surrounding HTC One E9+ has been cleared up by the company’s Chinese arm which has listed the much anticipated smartphone on its official website. This phone hasn’t been unveiled formally yet, but thanks to this new listing, we can have a look at the kind of hardware it will pack inside it.

We’ve seen the HTC One E9 leak in the past, but without the ‘+’ in its moniker. This does bring in a sense of confusion, but it’s not the only confusing part about this news report that was brought to our notice by Engadget China.

HTC One E9+

While the main description of the One E9+ tells us that a 5.-inch QHD display will be placed on its front surface, offering a pixel density count of 534ppi, the specs sheet on the same page mentions that a 1080p full HD panel has been granted to it. Judging from prior leaks however, the possibility of the monitor bearing QHD resolution has more ground.

HTC has moreover said on the main page that this phone features a 20MP main camera, but its specs sheet is saying that a 13MP sensor can be found on the rear surface. The front-facing snapper will be an Ultrapixel unit, allowing great selfies to be clicked even in low light.

Here’s a neat look at the probable specs of the HTC One E9+:

– Display: 5.5-inch, 1440 x 2560 pixels (534ppi)
– OS: Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI
– Processor: 2GHz octa core MediaTek MT6795M (64-bit)

– Memory: 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB storage (expandable up to 128GB)
– Camera: 20MP/13MP rear, Ultrapixel front
– Battery: 2800mAh

This Android 5.0 Lollipop handset will of course feature the Sense 7 UI, and will run on a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795M SoC bearing an octa core CPU. There’s 2GB or 3GB worth of RAM onboard as well, apart from 16GB of expandable storage and a 2800mAh battery.
