HTC J launched in Hong Kong

The freshly disclosed HTC J has toddled into Hong Kong inspired by the highly acclaimed One series. Unlike the latter, it flaunts a bar form factor with rounded corners and is expected to ship in colors of red, white and black.

Like it’s been a rule with some of the HTC handsets unveiled lately, the Android 4.0 OS is melded into the HTC Sense 4.0 skin to render a smooth web surfing experience. However, Jelly Bean seems to be conspicuously absent, as most would expect from a device of its caliber.

Terry Chung, Country Manager of HTC, Hong Kong and Macau, cited, “With the exceptional quality design, the outstanding look and feel, the Amazing Camera and Authentic Sound features of HTC J, users can now enjoy the ultimate photo, image, and sound experience.”

The front panel shows off a 4.3-inch HD display and a dual core processor clocked at 1.5GHz breathes life into the cookie. Talking about other hardware specifications, an 8MP snapper graces the phone’s exterior that’s accentuated with a host of attributes such as superfast capture and ImageSense technology as well as HD video recording attribute.

Additionally, potential users have 25GB of free Dropbox storage for 2 years to meet hoarding requirements. Along with 1GB RAM, it offers 16GB of internal memory that can be extended via a slot for a 32GB microSD card. There’s no reason why Beats Audio cannot be a part of the show and audiophiles can rest assured. The handset arrives with support for WiMAX and CDMA networks as well.

The HTC J Hong Kong price and release date information is still under wraps.
